CSA Code Of Practice

The Credit Services Association (CSA) is the only national association in theUnited Kingdom for companies active in the provision of services relating to therecovery of debts, and has a history dating back to 1902, and in excess of 400 members who represent 90% of the industry, employing 15,000 people, and atany one time hold over £62 billion for collection, returning nearly £3 billion incollections to the UK economy per annum. The Debt Buyers & Sellers Group (DBSG) is a subsidiary group to the CSA,working for the benefit of member businesses involved in buying or sellingdebts. The main objectives of the CSA and DBSG are to improve practices andefficiencies in the Industry; add integrity, structure and dignity to each of ourmembers’ business activities whilst protecting debtors; and to present a unitedapproach to those bodies that regulate our members’ activities.

As the industry continues to develop, the CSA and DBSG are pro-activelyhelping members achieve best practice, and will continue to engage withRegulators and lobby on behalf of members.
